This section introduces us to your company. We don't need to know your whole story, not yet anyway. Just give us an idea of what you do and why you do it. Briefly tell us who you are, what you do, size of company, and what your vision or mission statement is.

Describe your current web site situation, and give us an overview of what the project is going to entail. Don’t try to be too formal or politically correct here. Oftentimes, corporate semantics can muddle the message. Just write it like you were telling a friend what you need in your new site.

Goals and Objectives

This section is the spot to list your short term and long term objectives for the project, as well as your motivation for investing in your web site. It aims to answer the question, “why are you here?” Do you have a website? Is your website outdated? Have you expanded your services/product line? Are you marketing to a different target audience? Are you trying to attract job candidates? Or are you finding your existing site isn’t converting enough sales? Tell us what you want to achieve.

Website Functionality

This is where you tell us what you want your website to do. We need you to outline the features and functionality you want to see on your site (this could be things like a secure members area, contact forms, file upload functions, database development to store lead info, content management system to edit your own content, custom admin area, newsletter opt-in form, blogs, news sections, discussion forums, FAQ or knowledgebase, or e-commerce to sell products).

Budget & Timeline

Now it's time for everybody's favorite section . . .

For some reason, the Project Budget is the one area most people are afraid to discuss. However, having realistic expectations, especially in regards to your budget, is a necessary step in the process. We understand that you want to get the biggest bang for your buck. We do too. That's why we treat every project as if it were our own. We don't pay for unnecessary tools or willfully waste money on your project, because we simply wouldn't do that on our own projects. We want to produce the best projects for the best price, and that includes any ongoing costs for third party platforms and tools. Again, we don't waste our money, so we won't waste yours.

So be honest about what you can afford and we’ll be honest and respectful about what we can give you within those parameters. Even if you think your budget seems small in comparison, there are usually compromises that can be made here and there to accommodate you.

However, if you don’t have a budget set at all, then you may not be ready to start this project. That's OK too. We'll be here when you're ready. Just give us a shout when the time is right.
